Happy Winter Solstice and Merry Christmas~

It has been quite sometime after my last blog on my dear's birthday. Been busy with exams, moving house and relax at home. Hahaha. =P

I cant online in my hometown. Therefore, I could hardly update my status in FB or blog. But now since I'm in kl and have the speedy internet access, I'm gonna upload those photos that I celebrated winter solstice and xmas in the month of December 2010.♥

Nothing special on this year winter solstice. We did our annual routine of making colorful 'tong yuen'. There were 7 colors of our home made 'tong yuen' which included the white color as well.

I took some of the photos of them making it before I joined in the fun! =)

But this year xmas was really interesting!!! Me and my family had a present exchange session for this year xmas! Hahaha. Damn funny and exciting. =)

First, we had steamboat in my sister's house.

We all had a red packet from my aunt Maria. =)

I got the grand prize of the night! A small table from Ikea bought by my sis's bf. Lucky me!! =D

We and our own prepared presents before the lucky draw session of present exchange. =)

Dear's 22nd Birthday!!~♥

Dear has turned 22 on 21st of November 2010!!! ♥

I had prepared some little surprise for him. =)

I made him a card and a small present.
(The card was sucks and my packaging skill is awful too) Please forgive me for the artless sense. =.="

Look at his AWFUL face! >.<"

I borrowed my friend's digital lomo camera for taking pictures during our outing on his birthday. It's a little difficult for both of us because we were first time users and were not sure about where the angle should be focus. But we manage to capture some nice photos throughout the day.
*Proud of ourselves* ♥

We were first gone to Sungai Wang, then Lot 10, Fahrenheit 88 and Pavilion. The shopping malls were all decorated with beautiful Christmas trees.

♥ the Christmas feel~ =)

We went to eat our favorite J Co doughnuts as our high tea after we were tired walking here and there.

Look at these sweet and round doughnuts~ Nice!!

We walked in the Pavilion and I found out there's Sticky!! It's a traditional handmade candy shop which had specialized words on it. Dear was fascinating with the workers who demonstrate how to make it at the shop so I went to the shelves and check out the candies. Then I bought him a jar of the candy with Happy Birthday words and he was truly surprised! Haha. Glad he liked it~♥♥

After that we went to Shabu One at Lot 10 for dinner. Dear knew that I love steamboat so he suggested that restaurant. Thanks dear. *Kiss* ♥

Dear bought me a new wallet for our anniversary present. He didn't manage to find me one at that time so this time he bring me go the shop and bought me this!!!! Thanks a lot dear. *Oops, I felt like it was more like my birthday* Haha. =P

p/s: For more photos please go to my Facebook photo album called Happy Outing with Birthday Boy~

It's Dinner Time!

Good evening everyone.

Today my blog post is about Claypot Chicken Rice or more accurate is Claypot Chicken Rice without the claypot. =P

What make me said so? It's because I didn't use claypot to cook it (obviously). =.=''

But the taste is really awesome!! I would give myself a rate of 4 out of 5. ^^v

The ingredients are:
1. Boneless chicken thighs
2. Mushrooms
3. A few slices of ginger
4. Dried shrimps
5. Rice

1st step:
-Mix all of the ingredients above (except rice) with a spoonful of both soya sauce and oyster sauce. Add a little bit of thick black sauce or we called it as "kicap pekat" in Malay. Marinate all these ingredients for about 15-30minutes.

2nd step:
-Wash the rice and drain all the water away. Then put the marinated ingredients onto the rice. Add water into the bowl which have the leftover sauce of the marinated ingredients and pour the water until it cover the rice.

3rd step:
-Put some water into the rice cooker and place the bowl of rice with marinated ingredients on top of the water and steam it for about 45minutes and it's ready to be served!!

Try it yourself and enjoy it~ =)

Commitment to 3R

Yesterday 2nd of November was the date of my last semester coursework which is to organize a go green campaign. Every public relations student need to involve in the campaign in order to pass the subject.

Our group was Commitment to 3R. It was a way of expressing our willing to commit to 3R practices which are reduce, reuse and recycle. We had been prepare for about 2weeks for it.

I learn a lot of things throughout this campaign. Not just to pass in my coursework marks, but also to practice 3R in my daily life. I had learn to cooperate with other team members and solve conflicts as well.

I'm glad that it had end and I will treasure this experience for the rest of my life. It makes me think of the old days in college as well because we did organize a health campaign as our coursework too. It really brings a lot of happy memory to me.

We all are going to graduate soon. Hope that we will still keep in touch and continue commit to 3R in order to save our mother nature.

Last but not least, I would like to say this out loud and proud that :"I commit to 3R!" =D
